Here at Mibex, we pride ourselves on doing a quality job. Our 100,000 square foot engineering and fabrication shop set in our 2 acre site is well equipped to handle the fabrication of anything you require from small single part stainless steel or aluminium items all the way up to single fabricated structures weighing up to 20,000 Kg.

 

In 2023 we purchased the complete site from a well renowned and respected engineering company due to the retirement of the owner.

 

Along with the site and buildings we also purchased all of the cranes, machinery and equipment allowing us to hit the ground running from our new headquarters. 

 

Our facilities include-

  • SHOP 2 Machine Shop:
    • 2 x 2000Kgs overhead cranes,
    • Cincinnati Milacron universal milling,
    • Heidenreich Lathe with precision grinding attachment
    • 4 Radial Arm drills to MT06,
    • 3 single cylinder power press with capacities from 25t to 300t.
    • Morse taper drill sharpening service on our Dormer automatic drill sharpener.
    • We also have non destructive and ultrasonic testing capabilities.
  • SHOP 4 Fabrication shop:
    • 2 x 10,000 Kgs Overhead cranes with weighing capability,
    • 500 Kgs Pillar Crane,
    • 200T Edwards Pearson Press Brake Bending,
    • Pearson Guillotine 3mtrs up to 10mm, Pearson Guillotine 3mtrs to 20mm
    • Messer Griesheim CNC profile cutting with 6 mtrs bed,
    • 1 manual and 1 fully automatic band saw for stock bar up to 300mm and the big BOMAR twin column laser aligned semi automatic saw for cutting up to 800mm stock,
    • MMA to 650A /MIG to 450A inc Spool on Gun/TIG to 300A/TECNA TE95 Spot Welder /Fixed and portable LEV Extraction
    • 1 ESAB floor mounted welding rotator and 1 Benchmount rotator for superior quality pipework welding
    • Automatic tracked linear welding ,
    • Plasma cutting,
    • 2 Large industrial induction heaters.
    • Tubela Tri Cylinder Pipe bending machine up to 4"
    • For loading and unloading we have 2.5t/5t/8t fork lift trucks. 
  • For repairs and renovation works:
    • Heavy duty media blasting for larger items up to 10 mtrs and sand/soda blasting for more smaller or delicate items.
    • Industrial Paint spray 
    • Lead based paint removal systems
    • For specialist renovations we offer a range of services from MIG brazing to hot and cold riveting 
  • Site works:
    • We have an abundance of lifting equipment,
    • hydraulic jacks, machine moving skates, portable diesel generator, Laser and Optical Alignment equipment
    • concrete cutting, drilling and preparation equipment along with a high power diesel air compressor.
    • For larger or lengthier site works we can deliver our equipped site container to ensure our equipment is on hand when we need it.
  • Other services:
    • On site hydraulic hose manufacturingwith thousands of fittings on stock.
    • Hydraulic cylinders/motors/pumps repair and testing.
